If you haven’t checked out The Fitch Group’s Concert in the Park series this April, make sure to mark it on your calendar. Every Sunday evening this April starting at 5:00 at Desert Foothills park in Ahwatukee you’ll find a fantastic crowd, picnics all over the grass, and rockin, music. This past Sunday was no exception, kids were playing and dancing and even the dogs were enjoying the warm breeze. This perfect community event is put on by Randy Fitch and The Fitch Group and it is absolutely free.
This past week’s band was Slim Havoc, a fantastic rock band who jammed out with covers from Rolling Stones and other classic bands. The crowd was dancing a cheering as they played until the sun went down. You could hear the audience singing along to their favorite covers. and see even the littlest kids getting close to the stage to dance along to the beat!
Working the concession stand this past concert was a group of women from Altadena Middle School. Besides selling treats to the concert goers, they were also there for a great cause. These three are raising funds for Ms. Potts, a loved community member and amazing teacher from Altadena who is battling cancer. T shirts are for sale to assist Ms. Potts and can still be purchased for only $10. Please contact Altadena Middle School (480) 783-1300 to purchase a shirt or make a donation and help out a member of our community.
The last concert of this spring series will be April 28th, starting at 5:00. Be sure to mark it on your calendars, pack your picnic and join the rest of Ahwatukee this Sunday! See you there!
