Sunday, April 13th in Ahwatukee was another fantastic event at Desert Foothills Park! Randy Fitch and The Fitch Group‘s free Concert in the Park series was another overwhelming success with people spread across the park relaxing and enjoying the night. Last week concert goers were lucky enough to hear the music from the Pete Cummings Band. Their rock and roll covers got people off their lawn chairs and up dancing.
The Ahwatukee Lightning was also there supporting the Ahwatukee Lacross League. They worked the concession stand trying to raise money for their team. By the looks of things they received a lot of support from the community.
And of course, the park was filled with all kinds of families. It is a great event for children and adults of all ages. I bring my kids there and they always have fun dancing or playing tag. They always see friends from school or the neighborhood. It is a great community event. If you missed the first two, there are two more concerts left this spring- April 20th and April 27th. You may or may not see me at the final shows this season, as it was hard not to notice me walking around at almost 9 months pregnant. I will most likely be taking a break photographing the final two shows in preparation for my fourth baby!
