A Stroll Through the Desert

Session Type

No matter how big or small your family is a family portrait session is a great way to capture your family’s memories!  This small family session was a sweet and beautiful couple.  So if your family is just two people, or 10 think about getting those family pictures taken!  You could even include those pets as part of your family session!

 Location

This family session was taken at the base of two different mountain locations in Ahwatukee not far from each other.  Ahwatukee is one of my favorite spots because of the beauty and easy access to the mountain trails.  It is gorgeous in the sunset and really captures the desert feel of Arizona. This location does not require a full hike up the mountain, but there is some very mild walking involved.  It is a perfect spot for family photos.

Time Of Day

This session, as with most of my photo sessions, started about an hour before sunset.  Scheduling this way ensures the most flattering light for you photos.  This is especially true if you would like an open desert location as the backdrop for your photos.  Sunrise is another great time of day to schedule your photos, although I know not all of you are morning people!   I do know some locations that work and are a bit more flexible with time, so if you are wanting a session at a different time of the day just ask!
