Desert Botanical Garden
While most of the year, some part of the gardens will offer greenery and flowers, spring is where you’ll find it around the most. Beautiful and diverse photo location for family or senior portraits! This location does not require additional permits, but admission is required and is typically $14-$39 per person.
Manistee Ranch
This beautiful park in the middle of Glendale, AZ makes for a green photo backdrop mainly because of the small orange orchard and lush green grass on the property. In addition, it offers a beautiful terrace, seasonal rose garden and historic farm building and equipment. There is a minimal permit fee to shoot photos at this location and it can get busy on weekends.
Gilbert Riparian Preserve
Full of trees and a small lake, this location offers lots of green in the spring time. Some seasonal wildflowers are also plentiful throughout this preserve. There is no fee or permit required, but can get quite busy with both photographers and hikers during the weekends.
Heritage Square Park
Being right in the middle of Downtown Phoenix, you wouldn’t think that there would be a springtime spot as pretty as this! Heritage Square Park offers a quaint vintage backdrop with rose gardens, trees and lush grass present during the spring months.
Papago Park
While usually a location that boasts the popular mountain, the Hole in the Rock, Papago Park is also a place where you can find green desert tress and blossoming desert flowers during the spring months. Not typically a place you would think of for spring pictures, Papago park offers that look of spring during certain times of the year!
Desert Breeze Park
This cute park in Chandler is full of grass and a few trees. What makes this park neat in the spring time is the butterfly garden, which is small, but beautiful in certain spring months.
