Some sessions just feel extra special—and this one was definitely that kind of session! I recently had the honor of photographing two amazing high school seniors from Corona del Sol High School, and guess what? They’re cousins graduating together! 🎉📸
It was a day filled with laughter, throwbacks, and a whole lot of celebration. We chose a location that’s not only scenic but deeply meaningful: Desert Foothills Park—a place these two have known since elementary school. That sense of nostalgia added the perfect touch to their photos.

There’s something really heartwarming about seeing family members reach big milestones side by side. These two cousins have shared so many moments growing up, and now they’re about to walk across the stage together in caps and gowns.
We captured both posed shots and fun, candid moments between them that show off their bond and excitement for what’s next. Having someone you love alongside you during senior year makes it even more memorable, and their energy during the shoot was contagious!

🌳 A Park Full of Childhood Memories: Desert Foothills Park
This location was their choice, and for such a sweet reason! Desert Foothills Park in Ahwatukee isn’t just a beautiful setting—it’s a place they’ve been coming to since elementary school. 💛
With wide open green spaces, desert views, and plenty of room to roam, the park gave us the perfect variety of backgrounds—from sunlit trails to cactus-lined paths and everything in between.
The best part? Knowing this park held so many memories for them added a layer of emotion that you just can’t fake in photos. Every smile and laugh had a story behind it, and it truly made this session shine.
🧒 I’ve Known Him Since Kindergarten!
It’s wild how fast time flies. I’ve actually known one of these seniors since kindergarten (yes, really!). Watching him grow up and then getting to photograph this important milestone was such an honor.
Sessions like this are why I love what I do. Being able to document your family’s journey—from little kids playing at the park to seniors ready to take on the world—is something I’ll never take for granted.

No senior session is complete without the iconic cap and gown photos, and these two totally rocked them! We took shots holding their caps, tossing them in the air, and smiling big for the next chapter ahead.
Including cap and gown pictures in your session is such a great way to add a little graduation flair while still keeping things fun and relaxed.
💡 Tip: Bring your cap and gown to your session even if you don’t plan on wearing it the whole time. It’s an easy way to mix up the look and get photos that truly mark the moment.
