Phoenix is a popular area for families all over the country to come and visit, especially in the winter months. I work with a lot of people that are from the Mid West, East Coast and Canada at this time of year and my guess would be that they want to escape the cold for a little bit and enjoy the warm Arizona sun! I was lucky enough to be the photographer for this out of town family at the end of last year on a beautiful sunlight evening. We headed up Piestewa Peak, which was a new area for me, but just as beautiful as many of the other desert mountain areas in Phoenix that I have visited. We didn’t hike up to far, as it was very pretty near the bottom and also kind of cool near the neighborhood at the end of the trail. This spot will be one that I will have to revisit again!
