This kid has got to be tired of me taking pictures of him. I mean, the camera has been in front of his face for the past six years, right?! Six years old…time sure flies by, but he did humor me by letting me take him into the mountain trails in Ahwatukee for some quick shots a few days before his birthday. I think that this session with him ended up costing me two hot wheels cars plus some extra time to play on his iphone. Not a bad deal for me since I get to have these photos of him at six years old for years and years to come.
I love this image above because it really captures the way I think I will always feel about him. I know birthdays signify growing up and years going by, but here he just seems so small in contrast to the mountains. I think I will always think of him as being a little boy even as the years pass.
And finally, with each year passing for him, a new school year starts too! Yes, that is right, here in Arizona we start in August. This year it’s first grade and I think he is all ready to start his new adventure!
Is your child’s birthday coming up? Instead of buying toys they will no longer use by next week, why not get them a custom portrait session! Probably not to exciting for a six year old, but exciting for you:) And, I bet they will love to look back at the photos when they are sixteen or fifty six.
