Phoenix Family and Child Photography

The Location

DC Ranch Marketplace in Scottsdale, Arizona is a popular spot for family photo sessions. And it should be!  It is a fun atmosphere with plenty of opportunities for variety in your shoot.  DC Ranch has a small park with desert landscape and trees which make for beautiful backdrops.  There is a small tunnel, a bridge and lots of interesting building of all colors and textures.  This really makes this spot unique!  If you are in the Scottsdale area, this might be a great spot for your family photos!

Time of Day

As like most of my sessions, this one was taken at the “golden hour” or close to sunset.  Shooting during this time allows for the most flattering light and ease of shooting in many places.  This is important if you have toddlers or young children who are on the move and constantly changing places and moving into new lighten situations.  There are locations thought that are more versatile in the times you can shoot! If you are hoping for a session earlier in the day, just ask! I know a few spots in the area that work well in brighter lighting.
