Phoenix Area Family and Child Photographer
The Location
This gorgeous spot right in the middle of the Phoenix Valley is Papago Park. This great family photo location has the beautiful red rocks at the Hole in the Rock and also a desert landscape feel that surrounds the area. Walk a little father and you will find a large lake and palm trees. All of these things combined create great variety. This spot does get you out and walking and moving and there is some mild hiking involved. Nothing too strenuous- but keep that in mind. See more sessions from Papago Park right here!
The Light
See all that beautiful light shining in through the background. That is because this session began about an hour before sunset. Many of my sessions take place at this time not only to capture those beautiful Arizona sunsets, but also to ensure that your family’s photos are as flattering as possible. Shooting in the later afternoon or at sunrise will make sure your photos come back looking great! See more sunset sessions right here!
The Outfits
Doesn’t this family look great! Part of what will make your family portraits look fantastic is choosing the right clothing to wear. Stay away from keeping everyone in the same solid color. Accent different colors, patterns and textures in the wardrobe. If you know the location, just ask me what colors best complement it! This particular location is very red/orange with those beautiful mountains. Blues and greens compliment that, so because they stuck to that blue/green color scheme, their outfit choices are very pleasing with the location.
