Phoenix Area Family and Child Photography

The Location: Scottsdale, AZ

For this family photo session, I headed out to DC Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ.  This popular spot for family pictures was busy this particular afternoon, however, there were  a number of perfect areas to find to take pictures.  The great thing about DC Ranch is that there is  variety in the setting.  There is  opportunity to photograph a desert look, with some cactus around.  Depending on the time of year, there is also green grass and colorful flowers.  Lastly, this Scottsdale location has a neat urban feel with cool textures, buildings and walls all around. It’s easy to see why this is a favorite area for many photographers. Check out one of my past family maternity sessions at this location here.

The Family

I have photographed this fun loving family of four in the past and love to watch their twins grow up!  Last year they were only one and weren’t really sure about having their pictures taken.  One of my favorite one year shots of them ended up not being one with all smiles, but lots of cute little tears (you can check it out here–> one year old)  This year they were two- and with two of them that meant two times the fun:)  These photogenic siblings were not quite as tearful this time around and gave me lots of cute, different expressions.
