Fun Kids Activities
Looking to find something fun to do with your kids? As a former preschool teacher and part time child development professor I am always trying to find new learning experiences for my kids…I also want to keep them busy and have fun:) Here, we test out some cool things to try out with your children as I document the experience through photos.
What You’ll Need
Small dinosaur figurines (or other small creatures that hatch fromeggs)
This activity will take a little pre-preparation on your part. Beforehand, take the little dinosaurs ( or in this case I found small frogs and insects around my house) and put them into deflated balloons. Fill them up with water, tie and freeze overnight. I thought we had more little dinosaurs than we did, so I improvised a little bit with alternative creatures. The medium sized ones make it too hard to get into the balloon. My kids loved this activity so much and wanted to do it again so later I found some really cheap small dinosaurs here on Amazonfor under $5 shipped! The next day use a water table, bucket or big Tupperware container and peel the balloon away from the frozen “egg”. This is where it gets fun! Allow the kids to touch the cold dino eggs and try to figure out ways to get them out. Test out their hypothesis to see what works. You can also have them make predictions to what they think is inside. Some are easier to see through than others.
Kids of all ageswill have fun with this one. Just watch the balloon pieces with the littler kids. It is also a perfect activity for a hot afternoon.Let me know what you think! Did you try this activity out? How did your kids like it?
