Phoenix Family and Child Photographer

The Location: South Mountain

Family photography in Phoenix and the surrounding areas is what I do best!For this family and child photography session  we headed out to a rustic, desert area popular to many photographers in Phoenix.  Scorpion Gulch, near the base of South Mountain in the heart of Phoenix, is a beautiful little area perfect for Arizona.  The western style brick and stone make for such cool textures and colors in photos.  Right across the street are mountains that surround a simply gorgeous desert landscape.  This is perfect for sunset photos like the father and daughter shot below.  The beauty of this location does not stop there.  Continue up the mountain to find even more breathtaking views and even look down upon Downtown Phoenix.  Check out some of my past South Mountain photo sessions here.

The Style: Boho Inspired

The look that this family choose for their family photos was perfect for the location!  The Boho style clothing paired so nicely with the texture of Scorpion Gulch and the beauty of the desert.  Look closely at the details of their style,  all of it adds to the beauty of the pictures.  The turquoise jewelry compliments the orange patterns in the girls’ pants.  The headpieces and flowers add dimension and are just adorable!  The fringe and patterning of the dress adds texture to the overall photo.  This family really has their style down.  I shot a maternity photo session with a similar Bohemian look at this particular location a few months back.  The style definitely plays off the environment.

The Photos
