The Session

This Phoenix photo session was a combination of family and maternity.  If you are newly pregnancy you may want to thin about having maternity photos taken.  Photo sessions are custom to you, so you can choose how you’d like your session to look!  You may want to photograph just you and your new baby to be.  Or you may choose to incorporate the family, like in this session.  Here, this beautiful mam decided to take photos with her older son, husband and the almost 4 of them all together!  When you are scheduling your maternity session, it is your choice if you’d like to include the family.  To see a maternity photo session with just the mom to be, take a peek here.

The Location

A little Northeast of Phoenix is a beautiful location right near the Salt River called Coon Bluff Campground.  This location is a beautiful spot for both maternity and family photography session.  It is characterized by whimsical trees, large rock, easy access to the riverbed and mountains off in the background.  It is truly a magical spot for pictures.  If you do choose this location as your family photo spot, please note that it is a part of the Tonto National Forest and a parking permit is required.

The Style

Are you unsure what to wear for your maternity session?  You are not alone.  Many moms come to me asking what they should wear during their maternity photo shoot.  This new mom to be showcases the perfect style of what you might choose to wear for a maternity session.  First, look at her color choice.  Red and green are complementary colors, which mean they go nicely together. Next, pay attention to her accessories.  Accessories are key to adding great detail to a session.  From her jewelry to her flower crown , those accessories add to the style of the photographs.  Finally, this mom choose to show off her tattoos.   They look pretty awesome don’t they?  If you have something unique to you, show it off!  Tattoos, piercings, beauty mark, you name it.  The things that make you original should shine though in your photos!
