Session Type: Family

Family photo sessions are about as good as it gets! Your whole family together, big smiles and lots of captured interactions that will last a lifetime! All of my family sessions last approximately 60 minutes at ta location of your choice (I can help you pick a great spot too!) During your family session, I try  to capture a classic posed shot, but often times get several great candid moments  and fun unposed pictures in all the in between moments.  Your family session can also include some individual shots of your children and different groups , like mom and kids together , dad and the kids or any other combination.

Location

This family photo session took place at Lost Dutchman State park by the Superstition Mountains.  Location just to the East of Phoenix in Apache Junction, this location is a stunning backdrop for photos.  This location does require a very mild amount of hiking- nothing too strenuous.  There is also a parking fee to enter and park at the state park.  This spot is awesome for those looking for the picturesque landscape that is characteristic of Arizona.

Props

My style of photography  strongly focuses on capturing family in natural environments. While I typically do not supply props during your photo session, I encourage you to bring anything you’d like to incorporate into your session that fits your family! In this particular session older brother was set on bringing his newest favorite toy along for the hike (see the above photos).  The binoculars were fitting for the location and really added to the look of the family shots.  Think about what characterizes your family at the moments.  Is it something you’d like to include in your photos?
